Andrew Chalk “The River That Flows Into the Sands” cd
This is indeed like following the river into the sands,
being gently buffeted by water and abraded by sediment while the light slowly
dims. There is a constant feeling of
slow, beautiful descent on this cd, subtly hinted at by the shifting drones
washing from the speakers. Occasionally,
ghosts of melody make themselves known before sliding away into a calm ocean of
sound. Absolutely divine drone.
