Eleni Karaindrou
I fell in love with Eleni Karaindrou's music after hearing her soundtrack for Theo Angelopoulos' film, Ulysses' Gaze. Most of her output seems to be centered around providing music for his Tarkovsky-like filmic meditations, but occasionally she takes a detour to score something else. Every six months or so, I do a little googling to see if she has anything new on the horizon (as those of you out there into obscure music know, new releases don't exactly go trumpeting their presence down the street in front of your house). Tonight, I found out that apparently she's scored a Greek TV show called "To 10" or "The 10".
And here she is, on YouTube, of all places... Geez.
