Tired of Reviewing Things? Let Your Kids Do It For You!

I had this idea a while back to let my kids, Sophie (6), and Willow (4) randomly pick records from my record collection, listen to them, and respond to the music.  They picked some stuff and let me know in no uncertain terms what they thought.  I wrote it all down, and promptly lost it one of those drifts of paper that seems to form on every flat surface around here.  Today, as I was shoveling through one of the drifts, I found it, and since I'm a firm believer in work avoidance I'm doing this instead of something more productive.

Sophie:  "I just don't wanna hurt his feelings...  I think it's good, but it's just really freaky.

Willow:  I hate it.

Willow:  I don't like this one.

Sophie:  I love it!  This one rules!  I think they play it in a church.  I think Cat Stevens played this.

Sophie: (air guitar)

Willow:  I love it.

Willow:  I wanna pick another one.

Sophie:  I love it.

Willow:  I don't like it.

Willow:  "I love it!  It's fantastic!

Sophie:  (does the Mr. Robot dance)

Willow:  (bouncing on her trampoline) "It's good!"

Sophie:  "Wonderful!  Fantastic!"

Willow:  "I love it!"

Me:  "I don't know what that means."

Sophie:  "It means you're crazy and your head falls off."

There you have it:  evidence that small girls are punk rock.  I'm now officially threatening to put up more kid reviews.  Probably more adult reviews too.
